Africa – Europe Research Cooperation

CAAST-Net Plus is a network of organizations from Europe and Africa working together to support bi-regional cooperation in research and innovation. The network aims to strengthen bi-regional STI cooperation and outcomes around topics of mutual interest, and particularly in relation to the global societal challenges of climate change, food security and health. The discussions among the stakeholders support bi-regional STI policy dialogue and respective programme owners.
The network is funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
FCSAI – Spanish Foundation for International Cooperation, Health and Social Affairs contracted Katharina Kuss to contribute to the project as co-leader of the work stream on health research and innovation cooperation between Africa and Europe. Major outputs of this collaboration are:
